I was recently diagnosed with hepatitis c and also i was told I have a positive ANA.

My gastro Dr told me to follow up with my family dr. to see what it means-i have not done that yet because I'm scared of what it may mean. It could mean lupus because i used to always break out inthe sun and I've had a rash on my face but that was awhile back. i just don't understand why he did'nt send me to a specialist or just do the follow up test there. I go back for my second visit to gastro on June 1st to start trmt. for hep c, I assume but I know there gonna want to know why i didn't follow- up to see what kind of autoimmune disease i have. I'm scared it may be hiv although I have no symtoms except a low grade fever and too i thought hep c is a autoimmune disorder. Any advise?

The section headings and subheadings contained in this Agreement are included for convenience only, and shall not limit or otherwise affect the terms of this Agreement. This Agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California as if made in California by two residents of that state.
